Cannot install USB for RD - XP SP3
Trying to Install Server 1.1.1 and install fails at 90% with:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
A script required for this install to complete could not be
run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Running XP Pro SP3 Tablet Edition.
Turned off NOD32 Anti-Virus.
Turned off and then uninstalled "USB Safely Remove".

I have not tried Workstation version yet as it would be useless without a server...

Solved the Install Problem myself.

I don't use MS IE, I always use Firefox with IETab extension that wraps MSIE in a Tab View for those sites that need MSIE (Signed ActiveX etc).

So I located old MSIE, fired it up, set the option for it to be the default browser and left it open.

Install now proceeded without error and guess what, it invoked MSIE navigationg to a help page on "start using USB on RD Server"....

So Install worked. Same trick required to get Workstation install to work as well...

Next problem - Workstation USB (iPhone 3G) seen and status shareable BUT Not seen on Server...  ???

This was solved by ReBooting Both PCs and trying again!

Wooo Hoooo!!!! I can see my iPhone plugged into my Work PC over a Remote Desktop session to my Home PC running iTunes and my iPhone is Syncing! (albeit very very slowly).

This confirms my proof of concept prior to purchase. ;D

Oh well, I rejoiced too soon... It looks like iTunes is impatient and complains about iPhone connection timing out.
The Error dialog says:
'The iPhone "xyz" cannot be synced. The device timed out.'

At home I am using ADSL2 with upload speed of 512Kbps. Not fast enough for iTunes to see iPhone it thinks is on a USB 2.0 direct connection. If iTunes was running at work and my iPhone was at home, things may be different as work has a 4Mbps SHDSL link and my home download link speed is often 13Mbps using my Fibre Cable link rather than ADSL2...

Oh well, it looks like I was dreaming to think this would work.

And also try to use your iPhone via local network in order to explore whether the problem is really concerning to the Internet speed.
