Title: ftusbsrvc.exe high CPU time on client Post by sberkovitz on Aug 7th, 2008, 8:36pm Hi there, I am using USB over Network to provide access to a USB Serial Port that is utilized by a security package for monitorig our doors, etc. I've noticed on the client (which happens to be a Hyper-V virtual machine) that the ftusbsrvc.exe process constantly is utilizing 5-15% of the cpu, and of 70 cpu hours, has currently utilized 10 hours (which confirms an average around 14%). I've seen it spike as high as 40% during off hours where I don't expect there to be too much activity. Is there anything I can do to aleviate this? We see potential for using this in a number of VM deployments however the CPU utilization is concerning. Any advice would be appreciated. |
